This is not a poem, but has everything to do with poetry. In my school we're doing a poetry class, and all the really preppy girls write about how hard there life is and how suicidal they are. I think the is disgusting because everyone knows that their lives are dead simple and it's all fun. They have nothing to complain about. They do'nt suffer rejection and iscolation. If they really do suffer then they can write about that. But I really don't think breaking nails, and feeling depressed for a day, qualifies as suffering. It's a grab for attention... and if they really suffered I don't think they would want attention. When you feel depressed you want everyone to go away, and stay out of your way. Not everyone aw-ing over you, and feeling sorry for you. This is something that really bothered me, because they take away from one of the real essences of poetry, which is pain and real life experiences. I'm not saying it's all about the suffering, but these girls are strictly ruining poetry by writing like this, it's understandable if they wish to write about a happy experience, or even a sad experience, but make sure it happened, in either a close way, or some what distance! POETRY IS NOT FOR ATTENTION!
